Frequently asked questions

Where is the coffee roasted?

In Northborough, Massachusetts. The green coffee comes from three origins in Nariño, Colombia, and we roast it here in the United States.

How fresh is the coffee?

We roast weekly. Every bag is packed and shipped within 48 hours of the roast, and orders placed through Saturday go out on that week's roast. You don't have to take our word for it — the roast date is printed on every bag.

How much does shipping cost?

Orders over $50 ship free within the continental United States. Below that, we work it out at checkout from your address and charge it at cost — we don't mark up shipping. It works the same for El Mirador, Torcaza and Panal.

How long does shipping take?

The carrier sets the transit time (USPS or UPS) based on the method you pick. You'll see it at checkout, along with the cost, before you confirm.

Where do you ship?

The 48 continental states and Washington, D.C. We don't ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, the Northern Mariana Islands, or military and diplomatic addresses (APO, FPO and DPO). We'd rather say so here than have the checkout surprise you.

What is your return policy?

You can read it in full in our refund policy.

What does “limited release” mean on El Mirador?

It's one micro-lot, and there's only so much of it. Once it sells out it doesn't come back — the next release will be a different micro-lot, not more of the same one. See El Mirador.

Are subscriptions available?

Not yet. For now, every order is a one-off.

Can I order the coffee ground?

Yes. We grind the moment we pack, to whatever grind you pick: coarse for French press, medium for pour-over, extra fine for espresso. If you're not going to use it within a few days, order it whole bean — it keeps much better.

Not sure which one? See how we brew ours.

Do you sell wholesale to coffee shops?

Yes. We sell Torcaza and Panal wholesale to small coffee shops and restaurants across New England. Write to us on WhatsApp: +1 774 808 1173, or see how we work with coffee shops.

Where is the coffee from?

Three origins in Nariño, Colombia: two family farms and one community lot of twenty-five farms. Every bag tells you where it came from and who grew it — it isn't generic “coffee from Colombia”. Meet the people who grow it.
